Walk-In Modular Cleanrooms, manufactured by Sentry Air Systems, are designed to offer an economical and easier to setup solution for creating a sterile positive-pressure environment. These enclosures are ideal for compounding, IV bag infusion, manufacturing electronics and semiconductors, optics, medical device production, and other manufacturing processes that require a sterile walk-in workspace.
What is a Walk-In Modular Cleanroom?
A Walk-in Modular Cleanroom utilizes modular components to construct a free-standing controlled environment, providing an easy-to-install cleanroom solution with a quick 1-week lead time. Quick Ship Walk-in Modular Cleanrooms from Sentry Air utilize up to two Fan Filter Units (FFU) to cleanse the external room air and supply filtered air to the enclosure in a downward laminar airflow. This system creates up to a static ISO Class 7 Cleanroom environment ideal for a variety of applications that require a clean enclosure. The Fan Filter Units provide up to 650 CFM each at maximum speed and utilize an energy-efficient and reduced-noise EC motor. The Quick Ship Walk-in Modular Cleanroom is currently available as an 8’ x 8’ x 8’ structure with a heavy-duty steel frame, two LED light panels, twinwall polycarbonate walls, and a swing door. Larger sizes are available as a custom order item and require 4-5 week lead time after design approval. This system allows for room-side service, a PAO port for testing, and optional remote control.

What is an ISO Class 7 Cleanroom?
An ISO Class 7 Cleanroom meets the cleanroom standards set by ISO, which require a maximum of 2,930 particles per cubic foot of particles larger than 5 microns and 352,000 particles per cubic foot of particles larger than 0.3 microns, with at least 60 air changes per hour.
Walk-in Modular Cleanrooms utilize 1-2 powerful Fan Filter Units to draw in ambient air containing airborne particulate and other contaminants. The HEPA filter(s) remove most contaminants from the air and release the filtered air into the enclosed space. This system creates up to a static ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment.
Walk-in Modular Cleanroom for USP 797
The Walk-in Modular Cleanroom meets USP 797 guidelines for use as a buffer room or secondary engineering control for Compound Sterile Preparations (CSP). Refer to USP 797 to determine requirements for Category 1, 2, or 3 CSP. Sentry Air’s Walk-in Modular Cleanroom uses 1-2 fan filter units equipped with HEPA filters to supply filtered air in a downward laminar flow, creating up to a static ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment. Where required, the Walk-in Modular Cleanroom may be placed inside of an ISO Class 8 anteroom and used with a primary engineering control such as our 17” USP 797 IV Hood to meet requirements for a category 2 or 3 CSP.
